Button Candle Tile

  1. Cover workstation with newspaper.

  2. Draw round a simple shape template, perhaps a flower for summer, a heart for Valentines, a star for Christmas..

  3. Place a tea-light in the centre and draw round using marker pen. Keep this area clear of any adhesive. It will become the candle space.

  4. Spread PVA based tile adhesive/grout thickly into the template area.

  5. Press buttons/ small stones/ small interesting bits n bobs into the adhesive, feeling it 'squidge' as you do so.

  6. Sprinkle with glitter if liked and gently press it to prevent it falling off as the adhesive dries.

  7. You can use marker pens to make patterns round about and to write your name.

  8. Place the candle in it's space.

Light your candle in the dark to see the glitter sparkle! You could keep it outdoors in the summer, even make a row of them to light the way to the bar B-Q!
